The advance of non-contact measurements involving pulsed terahertz radiation presents great interests for characterizing electrical properties of a large ensemble of nanowires. In this talk I will focus on InP and Si nanowires' properties. The influence of the doping as well as the NW diameter on the carrier dynamics will be described.
